“The Arena at the gladiators’ time”
Experience the Roman age in the most spectacular of the buildings raised in those days, the amphitheatre. Explore it with someone who really knows it. Because what stands nowadays is not exactly what was build 2000 years ago.
When was build such an amphitheatre? Why so huge? How would the spectators enter the building due to their social classes and where would have they found their seat? How long was it used for? How did the gladiatorial fight shows work? Were beasts and Christians used for the shows too? What happened to it in medieval times? How come is it still in relatively good conditions? When did they start to use it again for entertainment? Why is it today the biggest Roman amphitheatre in the world? Itinerario
